DEPARTMENTS
East Catholic School's academic programs are categorized into departments. Each Department is organized by a core subject area from the overall school curriculum, as broadly provided by the Department for Catholic Schools and based on the Pennsylvania State Standards.
The are eight (9) departments in all: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, Religion, Music, Library, Athletics and Social Studies departments. Each Department is managed by a Departmental Head, usually a member of the East Catholic School Faculty. A department coordinates and plans its activities in line with the academic goals set by the School's Advisory Board, and implemented by the School Administration.
